Walk-Off Seals 75th Victory for Bombardiers
|
The Miami Boll Weevils went down to defeat to Ryan Johnson and his Cincinnati teammates. The final score was 3-2, Bombardiers, in 10 innings. Cincinnati reliever Nate Ray picked up the win, raising his record to 5-1. Bob Garbee was tagged with the loss. With the win over Miami, the Bombardiers improved to 75-64.
Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, 20-year old left fielder Justin Bobb had a chance to be the hero. Miami pitcher Bob Garbee had other ideas. But with no outs, Bobb hit a sacrifice fly. The Bombardiers had themselves a dramatic win.
Bobb told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.
