The Detroit Giants picked up a win at Tennant Healthcare Ballpark, knocking off the Dallas Dragons, 7-3. Starting pitcher Danny Offen played a key role in the triumph. Devin Wickliffe recorded the save for Detroit, his 16th of the season. The Giants saw their record improve to 42-34.

Ryan Forsythe had a big 2-run home run for the Giants in the top of the fifth inning. With Detroit leading 4-2 and a runner on 1st, he got a knuckle curve from 28-year old right-handed pitcher Juan Barron and swatted a home run to left. It was his 14th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Giants ahead, 6-2.

Detroit manager Sean O'Leary was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
