The Vail Tigercats weathered a fine game by Sonoma designated hitter Eric Bradstreet to upend the Scorpions, 10-8, at Ballpark of North Richland Hills. Bradstreet went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Vail reliever Mike Bruce picked up the win, raising his record to 3-0. Tony Longoria was tagged with the loss. The Tigercats bumped their record to 80-60 with this latest triumph.

In the top of the second, Grant Murphy delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Vail third baseman hit a 2-run single, putting the Tigercats in front, 10-8.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Murphy, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
