Cincinnati Bombardiers starter Lance Goecker turned in a top-notch performance against the London Tigers at Ballpark of Cincinnati. The result was a win for the Bombardiers, 3-2. In 5.2 innings, Goecker surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. Cincinnati's record now stands at 65-74, placing them third in the Western AA Coastal Division.
Jared Dawson helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 3-0, Bombardiers.
Goecker said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
