The Miami Boll Weevils and Vail Tigercats completed their game despite the inclement weather.

Jamie Tripp impressed in the 8-6 Miami win over Vail. Tripp went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Mike Mudge picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 6 runs on 11 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 6-7.

Steve Krout broke a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the fourth with a run-scoring ground out. It put the Boll Weevils in front, 4-3. For the game, Krout was 1-4 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 runs.

"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Tripp told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
