Vermont Milkmen starter Geert Brown was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Sonoma Scorpions, 3-2. Vermont reliever T.J. Hoffarth was credited with the win. His record goes to 5-2. Dave Kramer took the loss for Sonoma. The Milkmen improved to 55-80.

Vermont took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 2nd, Evan Stowe hit a run-scoring single to make it 3-2, Milkmen.

Stowe told reporters after the game: "Close wins always feel extra good."
