9-7 Win Gets London to 73-62
|
The London Tigers withstood an impressive performance by Hialeah right fielder David Hollick to defeat the Firecats, 9-7, at Ballpark of Oklahoma City. Hollick went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The win for the Tigers lifted their record to 73-62.
Andy Laws had a big grand slam home run for the Tigers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With London trailing 4-2 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from Bob Paterson and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Tigers ahead, 6-4.
"I just tried to put the barrel on it," said Laws.
