The London Tigers downed the Augusta Capitols, 8-1. The hitting star was third baseman Brian Cartwright. Cartwright went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Tigers. Marcos Cerda got the win, improving to 7-4. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 3 hits and 1 run, while striking out 8 and walking 5. With the victory, the Tigers upped their record to 90-47.

Justin Phelps had a big 2-run double for the Tigers in the bottom of the second inning. With London leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Mal Burkes and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Tigers ahead, 3-0.

"We took home the win," said Cartwright. "What's not to like?"
