Boll Weevils Find a Way to Win
The Miami Boll Weevils and St. Louis Cavalry played an entertaining game for Ballpark of Miami patrons.

The Miami Boll Weevils topped the St. Louis Cavalry, 3-2, in Western AA action at Ballpark of Miami. The standout performance belonged to Miami pitcher and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, native Mike Mudge. By defeating St. Louis, the 5th-place Boll Weevils improved to 58-76.

The Boll Weevils got a clutch hit from left fielder Tyler Miles. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Boll Weevils.

After the game, Miami manager Bill Murtha applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
