Tigercats Suffer One-Run Loss at Cornwall
The Cornwall Royals handed the Vail Tigercats a 4-3 defeat at King George Park. Left Fielder Cory Donaghy starred for Cornwall. He went 1-1 with a walk. Cornwall reliever Nate Guzman picked up the win, upping his record to 6-1. Rich Mack took the loss. Scott Lewis was called on to finish, recording his 16th save.

Tied up with the Tigercats in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Royals got a boost from shortstop Mario Aguiluz. With a runner on 3rd, Aguiluz saw a 1-2 curveball from Rich Mack and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Cornwall on top, 4-3.

"Both teams played hard," said Cornwall manager Ivan Cabrera.

Cornwall, at 50-83, sits in 5th place in the Western AA Coastal Division.
