Vermont took on Cornwall in front of a lively crowd.
The Vermont Milkmen grabbed a win, 5-2, over the Cornwall Royals at King George Park. Vermont third baseman Gong-sun Thum went 3-4 with 2 home runs. D.J. Elliott earned the save for Vermont, his 5th.
Vermont shortstop Evan Stowe landed a blow when he belted a solo home run in the top of the third. It was his 11th home run of the season. With it, the Milkmen took a 3-1 lead.
"Anything I can do to help the team win," said Stowe.
Vermont, at 54-80, holds down 5th place in the Western AA Coastal Division.
