Firecats Suffer 5-4 Road Loss
Both teams had their chances, but the Miami Boll Weevils eventually prevailed.

The Miami Boll Weevils racked up a win at Ballpark of Miami, bumping off the Hialeah Firecats, 5-4. Dave Hernandez, who started for Miami, pitched effectively for his team. Zack Cunningham notched his 13th save in 15 chances.

Miami first baseman Chris Maydak landed a blow when he belted a solo home run in the bottom of the third. It was his 1st home run of the season. With it, the Boll Weevils took a 5-0 lead.

"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Maydak.

The loss makes Hialeah 51-81.
