Scorpions Send Miami Home with 6-4 Loss
The Sonoma Scorpions got a rain-soaked win over the Miami Boll Weevils.

The Sonoma Scorpions beat the Miami Boll Weevils, 6-4, at Ballpark of Miami. Nate Galloway, who is tied for 6th in the W-AA in home runs with 24, starred for Sonoma. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Sonoma reliever Bryan Donaghy picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. John McClements was tagged with the loss. Kasey Acree, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 23rd save.

In the top of the second, Galloway had a grand slam home run for Sonoma. It was his 24th home run of the season and put the Scorpions on top, 4-0.

Galloway said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."

The third-place Scorpions now have a win-loss record of 77-57.
