Sonoma overcame a superior effort from Tyler Kraus to beat Miami, 1-0, in 10 innings. The Miami pitcher threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. Sonoma reliever Kasey Acree picked up the win to move to 7-8. Chris Zich suffered the loss. Sonoma has now won 3 in a row.

Sonoma needed the clutch hitting of Bill Martz to seal the deal. The catcher swatted a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Scorpions on top, 1-0. For the game, Martz had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
