The Cornwall Royals got a superb performance from pitcher David Tirado, but the St. Louis Cavalry still won the game, 6-4. Tirado threw 5.2 innings of 2-hit ball. Vic Vance was the winning pitcher. St. Louis used the timely hitting of Danny Gates to capture the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Cavalry on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.
