Angelo Quezada, who is tied for 7th in the W-AA with a 1.12 WHIP, was locked in. The right-hander led the Cornwall Royals to a 5-3 win against the Vail Tigercats at King George Park. Kyle Thompson closed it out for his 2nd save. Vail's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
Sean Trahan's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth was significant, coming with runners on 1st and 2nd and the game tied, 2-2. The Cornwall shortstop hit a run-scoring single off Aaron Daniels to put the Royals up.
"Main thing is I want the team to win," Quezada told a reporter after the game. "Just have to go out there, take care of my job, and give my team a chance to win."
