Scorpions Lose at Home, 9-3, to Miami
|
David Lovell did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Sonoma Scorpions from being beaten, 9-3, to the Miami Boll Weevils at Ballpark of North Richland Hills. Lovell slugged 2 home runs. At 62-69, Miami is in 4th place in the Western AA Coastal Division.
Devin Calloway hit a run-scoring double off Dan Toigo in the top of the third, which put the Boll Weevils in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Calloway had 2 singles, while going 3 for 5.
"Pleased with the effort and the win," said Boll Weevils manager Bill Murtha.
