Bowman Powers Firecats Offense
The Hialeah Firecats defeated the Sonoma Scorpions, 5-2. Catcher Neil Bowman deserved a large share of the credit. Bowman belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Firecats. The save went to John Gray, number 8 for him. The Firecats raised their record to 46-83.

Had Bowman not come through in the top of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Bowman hit a 3-run home run. The Firecats took the lead, 5-2, and never looked back.

"The name on the front of this uniform is all that matters to me," Bowman told the Hialeah Gazette. "And padding the Hialeah win column."
