The Vail Tigercats pinned a convincing loss on the Hialeah Firecats, 11-2, at Vail Grounds. Nick Raiff was a main factor in the win. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for Vail. Casey Odom snagged the win in relief. He goes to 5-3 on the season. Casey Higgins suffered the loss. Brendon Conway was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.

In the bottom of the fourth, Vail third baseman Joe Lilley had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Lilley stroked a 2-run single to left. It made the score 3-0, Vail. For the game, he went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
