In a tight tilt between the Vail Tigercats and the Hamilton Bulldogs, Dionísio Manteigueiro was the deciding factor. The Vail right-hander spearheaded the 1-0 win. The Tigercats are now 71-60, while the Bulldogs fall to 77-54.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Tigercats had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the first, when third baseman Troy Hermann hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Bobby Carrero and made the score 1-0, Tigercats. Hermann went 1 for 3.

"Our pitching was the difference tonight," Hermann said.
