The outcome was not decided until the very end at Mariachis Ballpark.
The Hamilton Bulldogs picked up a win at Mariachis Ballpark, dropping the Cornwall Royals, 7-5, in 12 innings. Omar Lorenzo was the difference-maker. The win belonged to Ryan Middaugh in relief. His record improves to 6-5. Bubba Byrne took the loss for Cornwall.
The defining moment came in the bottom of the 12th for Hamilton. That's when Danny Walker hit a 2-run home run off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Bubba Byrne to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
"The crowd was boisterous today," said Lorenzo.
The Royals, now 78-52, have lost 4 straight.
