The Chicago Gangsters faced a tough opponent in Fountain Hills pitcher Frank Sarabia, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Fountain Park by a final score of 4-3. Sarabia went 6.1 innings and allowed no runs. Keith Kramer recorded the save for Chicago, his 1st of the season. With the win, Chicago improves its record to 2-6.

Ken Castro was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk for Chicago. With no one out and the game tied in the top of the tenth inning, Castro, the 23rd overall pick in the 2021 draft, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Fountain Hills hurler Stuart Taylor, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Gangsters a 4-3 lead.

"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Antonio Valdez.
