Firecats Topple Royals, 9-8, as Maughan Shines
Hialeah right fielder Trey Maughan had 4 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Cornwall Royals, 9-8. Hialeah reliever Etienne Erbetto was the winner. His record is now 2-13. The losing pitcher was J.P. Kallay. The Firecats raised their record to 45-83.

Maughan contributed a big hit, a bases-clearing double, for Hialeah in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 7-5, Maughan took a changeup from J.P. Kallay and stroked the double to left-center. His 21st double of the season allowed the Firecats to leap in front, 8-7.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Maughan.
