Paul Birchfield, who leads the W-AA in complete games with 2, was locked in. The left-hander led the Vermont Milkmen to a 6-4 win against the Miami Boll Weevils at Emeralds Ballpark. The win makes Vermont 62-65.

In the bottom of the fifth, Vermont left fielder Bob Docampo whacked a changeup to left-center for a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season put the Milkmen in front, 5-4.

"I was trying to do what I do, go out there and compete," said Birchfield.
