Hialeah Beats Cincinnati, 3-1
|
The Hialeah Firecats took Cincinnati pitcher Eddie Sarabia's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Ballpark of Cincinnati. The final score had Hialeah getting past the Bombardiers, 3-1. Sarabia went 5 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 3. Austin Howell came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-1. Rich Zavala notched his 10th save of the season.
Hialeah used the timely hitting of Luis Guevara to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Firecats on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Guevara.
The victory makes Hialeah 38-88.
