Bombardiers Absorb 3-1 Home Loss
|
Cornwall turned a fine outing from starter Ryan Klinck into a victory over the Cincinnati Bombardiers at Ballpark of Cincinnati. The final score was 3-1. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Adam Bowman. The 'W' lifts Cornwall's record to 66-59.
Cornwall used the hitting of Tom Johnson to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Royals on top, 3-1. For the game, Johnson had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Ryan was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said Cornwall manager Keith Young.
