Ballpark of Cincinnati was the site of a competitive game between the Vermont Milkmen and Cincinnati Bombardiers.

The Cincinnati Bombardiers got a stellar performance from pitcher Steve Dunn, who handcuffed the Vermont offense en route to a win, 3-2, at Ballpark of Cincinnati. Brad Cullum earned his 9th save in 11 tries.

The Bombardiers got a big at-bat from first baseman Nate Sheridan. For the game, Sheridan went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 11th home run of the season gave Cincinnati a 2-0 lead.

Sheridan attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."

The third-place Bombardiers go to 61-64.
