Bulldogs Snatch 6-5 Win from Tigers
|
Fans were treated to a whale of a game between the Hamilton Bulldogs and London Tigers.
Though he had a terrific game, Edwin Martinez could not prevent his team, the London Tigers, from absorbing a loss. Hamilton won the game, 6-5. Martinez was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Jerardo Perez picked up the win in relief for Hamilton, while Phil Ott took the loss.
Dylan Mangum was the walk-off hero for Hamilton. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bulldogs third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
Mangum said afterward that the win gets the team one step closer to its goal.
Hamilton now has a record of 69-56 with the win.
