The St. Louis Cavalry got a magnificent performance from pitcher Vic Vance, who muffled the Cincinnati offense en route to a tight, 3-1 Cavalry win at Ballpark of Cincinnati. Today's win puts St. Louis at 47-74, while Cincinnati falls to 53-68.

In the top of the sixth, St. Louis first baseman Mike Kopp whacked a fastball to right-center for a 2-run double. His 7th double of the season put the Cavalry in front, 3-1.

"Vic had good arm action, good stuff," said St. Louis manager Leo Medina.
