The Vail Tigercats beat the Miami Boll Weevils, 8-1, at Vail Grounds. Paul Dankenbring, who leads the W-AA in RBI with 80, starred for Vail. He was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Picking up the win was Moises Gonzalez. He went 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 10 hits. The right--hander struck out 7 and walked 2. The win elevated the Tigercats to 72-49.

With Vail trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Dankenbring hit a fastball from Max Hercules for a 3-run home run. It was his 30th home run of the season and put the Tigercats ahead, 3-1.

"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Dankenbring.
