The home crowd had a good time watching the Sonoma Scorpions and Vermont Milkmen get after it.

The Vermont Milkmen got a stellar effort from pitcher John Bickel, helping Vermont score a win over the visiting Sonoma Scorpions, 5-2. The Milkmen saw their record improve to 49-70.

Early in the game, catcher Taiju Kusanagi had a solo home run for Vermont. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Milkmen on top, 1-0.

"You can never predict what'll happen," Kusanagi said. "That's why you play the game."
