Jason Parisi had a good game, but he could not keep the Sonoma Scorpions from falling, 6-5, to the Vermont Milkmen at Emeralds Ballpark. The Sonoma second baseman went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles in the loss. The second-place Scorpions dropped to 80-38.

Had Ryan Murphree not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Murphree hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Milkmen.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Sonoma manager Elias Nunez. "The effort was great."
