Castano Slugs Scorpions to 7-0 Win
|
Humberto Castano was a major factor in the 7-0 Sonoma win over Hialeah. The Scorpions third baseman hit 3 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring three times. With the win, Sonoma raised its record to 78-40.
With Sonoma leading 2-0 in the top of the fourth, Castano hit a slider from Chris Mueller for a 3-run home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Scorpions ahead, 5-0.
Said losing manager John Costa: "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."
