Tight Tilt Goes to Bombardiers, 2-1
|
Ballpark of Cincinnati was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.
The Cincinnati Bombardiers picked up a win at Ballpark of Cincinnati, topping the St. Louis Cavalry, 2-1. On the mound for Cincinnati was right-hander Eddie Sarabia. He played a principal role in the triumph. Sarabia got the win, improving to 5-16. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. He allowed 1 run.
Cincinnati designated hitter Micah Clark helped the Bombardiers go up, 2-1, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Clark hit a run-scoring single off St. Louis pitcher Rick Winkler.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Cincinnati manager Carlos Almendarez.
The setback makes St. Louis 48-69.
