The Sonoma Scorpions had to overcome a good performance from Cornwall pitcher Angelo Quezada to claim a 2-1 win at Ballpark of North Richland Hills. Quezada went 6 innings and allowed no runs. Reliever Mike Stack picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Kyle Thompson took the loss. The Scorpions lead the Western AA Coastal Division by 4 games.

Mike Lynn delivered a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the ninth to win it for the Scorpions. For the game, Lynn went 1-3 with a walk.

"Both teams played hard," said Sonoma manager Keith Young.
