The Sonoma Scorpions picked up a win at Ballpark of North Richland Hills, downing the Cornwall Royals, 3-2. On the mound for Sonoma was right-hander Jose Ceballos, who played a pivotal role in the win. Sonoma reliever Mike Stack picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. Mike Banks was tagged with the loss. Sonoma improves to 64-50 with the win. They lead their division by 4 games.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 13th for Sonoma. That's when Cory Donaghy hit a solo home run off 34-year old right-handed pitcher Mike Banks to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Cornwall skipper Jon Williams, "and it cost us."
