Win Makes Tigercats 67-47

Vail pitcher Danny Gonzales did his part in helping his team beat the Vermont Milkmen, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The winner was Gonzales. He threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was John Bickel. Joseph Scale was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
The Tigercats got a big at-bat from center fielder Sam Markowicz. For the game, Markowicz went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Vail a 5-3 lead.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Gonzales told the Vail Herald.
With the win, the Tigercats have a record of 67-47.
