Tigercats Come Up Short at London, 2-1
In a tight game between the London Tigers and the Vail Tigercats, pitcher John Cochran was terrific on the mound. The London right-hander helped his team to the 2-1 win. Picking up the save was 29-year old right-handed pitcher Mike Fisher. The win gives London a season record of 62-54.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Tigers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when left fielder Danny Sutton hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Jody Fouse and made the score 2-1, Tigers. Sutton was 1-3.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Cochran said.
