Sonoma turned a good performance from starting pitcher Micah Cole into a 4-2 triumph over the St. Louis Cavalry at Cavalry Ballpark. Cole yielded 2 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 4, and struck out 2. His record improves to 11-6. Ryan Butler was called on to finish, recording his 4th save.

Sonoma used the timely hitting of Josh Meeker to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Scorpions on top, 4-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Cole told the Sonoma Gazette.

The first-place Scorpions have won 5 in a row.
