The Cornwall Royals got a stellar performance from pitcher Ryan Simpson, who handcuffed the Miami offense en route to a win, 4-0, at King George Park. The winner in relief was Dan Kleinman. He is now 5-1. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. At 67-45, the Royals claim second place in the Western AA Central Division.

Felipe Marquez contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a single. His at-bat helped Cornwall get the win.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Cornwall manager Jon Williams.
