Starting pitcher Eric Albright fulfilled his part of the bargain, helping the Hialeah Firecats stymie the Miami Boll Weevils, 3-2. Humberto Lopez collected his 16th save. The Firecats now have a record of 36-75.

Eric Adkin had a critical at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the sixth for Hialeah. He came through with a solo home run to put Hialeah in front, 3-1.

"I just trusted my stuff," said Albright.
