Ragin Cajuns Suffer 4-0 Road Loss
|
Vermont turned a good effort from starter Pat Wilber into a win over the Stockton Ragin Cajuns at Emeralds Ballpark. The final score was 4-0. Wilber, now 8-6, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing no runs. The victory puts Vermont at 45-68.
Taiju Kusanagi had a big 2-run home run for the Milkmen in the bottom of the second inning. With Vermont leading 2-0 and a runner on 3rd, he sized up a changeup from Matt Dickson, who is tied for 7th in the W-AA in innings pitched with 131.2, and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Milkmen on top, 4-0.
Kusanagi called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
