Milkmen Lose Again, 5-3, to Ragin Cajuns
|
Vermont first baseman Austin Alpers had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Alpers went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, even as Stockton beat the Milkmen, 5-3. Casey Levy picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed no runs on 6 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 6-7. The Milkmen have now dropped 9 straight.
Mitch Waggoner had a big hit for Stockton in the top of the fourth inning. With Stockton leading 1-0, Waggoner hit a solo home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Ragin Cajuns up, 2-0.
In comments to the Stockton Daily News, Waggoner admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
