Capitols Earn 10-7 Home Win

The Augusta Capitols downed the Hialeah Firecats, 10-7, at The Capitol Dome. The Capitols were led by Kevin Cremo. Cremo went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Mike Reich got the win, improving to 9-3. He held the Firecats to 3 runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 1. Augusta is now 65-47, 3½ games up in the Western AA Coastal Division.
Nate Yuck was 1 for 3 with a walk for Augusta. The 27-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Miguel Estrada. It was his 20th RBI of the season.
"We take it day by day here," said Cremo, "and today was a good one for us."
