Tigers Lose By a Run at Sonoma
Sonoma catcher Ruben Rios was instrumental in helping the Scorpions triumph, 7-6, over the London Tigers. Rios was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Steve Bueno, the winner, improved to 1-0. He held the Tigers to 3 runs on 4 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 1 and walking 2. The save was credited to Ryan Butler, his 3rd.

Making an impact for the home team was Bryan Sheary. In the bottom of the sixth, the 24-year old left fielder had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 5-3, Scorpions.

"We're producers not directors," said Rios. "Produce a good swing. Can't direct where it goes."
