Smith Lifts Scorpions to 9-3 Win
The Sonoma Scorpions pinned a convincing loss on the London Tigers, 9-3, at Ballpark of North Richland Hills. Jared Smith was a main factor in the win. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for Sonoma. Sonoma's record now stands at 75-36, placing them second in the Western AA Central Division.

The Scorpions got an important contribution from center fielder Omar Perez, who in the bottom of the sixth hit a sinker to right-center for a bases-clearing double. It was his 7th double of the season and put the Scorpions ahead, 7-1.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Sonoma skipper Elias Nunez.
