The Hamilton Bulldogs could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Chris Reed into a win. Instead, the Stockton Ragin Cajuns prevailed, 4-2. Reed threw 6.1 innings allowing 2 runs. Oscar Casas picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 7-5. Blake Ware suffered the loss. Jarred Gangi closed out the game, earning his 24th save.
Stockton went in front, 4-2, on Curtis Wojtysiak's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Wojtysiak hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Hamilton pitcher Blake Ware visibly perturbed.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Wojtysiak.
Their 49-62 record puts the Ragin Cajuns 5th in the Western AA Central Division.
