Tigers Rough Up Firecats, Take 15-3 Win
|
The London Tigers defeated the Hialeah Firecats, 15-3. Left Fielder Ryan Williams deserved a large share of the credit. Williams went 4-4 with 4 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Tigers. With the win, London pushed its record to 67-43.
Alex Bedoya had a big 2-run double for the Tigers in the top of the third inning. With London leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from 23-year old left-handed pitcher Chris Mueller and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Tigers ahead, 4-1.
"We maximized our offense today," said London skipper Jose Torres. "That makes everyone's life easier."
