Maughan Goes Deep Twice in 6-3 Firecats Win
The 5-RBI night of right fielder Trey Maughan, who is tied for 7th in the W-AA in total bases with 163, helped the Hialeah Firecats triumph, 6-3, over the London Tigers. Tom Thompson, the winning pitcher, is now 1-0. He went 7 innings, allowing no runs on 3 hits, while fanning 4 and walking 2. Even with the win, the Firecats have a dismal 37-72 record.

Early in the game, Maughan had a 2-run home run for Hialeah. It was his 17th home run of the season and put the Firecats on top, 2-0.

"We didn't play well enough to win," London skipper Jose Torres said.
