The Cornwall Royals, behind a great outing from Mike Banks defeated the Vermont Milkmen, 3-0, at Emeralds Ballpark. Banks, now 3-8, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing no runs. John Mills got the save, his 3rd in 6 chances.

Cornwall used the stroke of Ross Myer to get the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Royals ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"It was a good effort all around," said Myer.

Cornwall is 65-43 and Vermont, with the loss, 51-57.
