Right-hander Steve Dunn mesmerized the Hialeah Firecats while leading the Cincinnati Bombardiers to a 5-0 victory. The winning pitcher was Dunn, now 4-4. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 6. The third-place Bombardiers bumped their record to 53-57.

Randy Wheat had a big 2-run double for the Bombardiers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Cincinnati leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a sinker from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Alex Martinez and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 14th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bombardiers ahead, 3-0.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Hialeah manager John Costa.
