Boll Weevils Lose at Home, 5-1
|
Eddie Sarabia never let Miami get something going. The Cincinnati right-hander commanded his cutter in pitching the Bombardiers to a 5-1 win. Sarabia got the win, improving to 5-7. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. Ryan Johnson notched his 2nd save of the season.
Cincinnati used the timely hitting of Matthew Bridges to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bombardiers on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Sarabia.
The Bombardiers now own a record of 50-60.
